Our talented and diverse membership includes people from all walks of life, and of all ages. If you have an interest in singing, acting, dancing, set design/building, costumes, make-up or any other activity involved with producing musicals, plays and concerts, we would love to hear from you. For more information on how to get involved in the Society, please see our becoming a member page.

Alternatively, if you would rather enjoy watching a show than starring in one, have a look at our future productions page to see what we are putting on next. All shows are performed from Yeadon Town Hall.

With all best wishes,
Brian Stott, President of the Yeadon Amateur & Dramatic Operatic Society

Next production: Flint Street Nativity

6th – 19th October 2010, 7.30 p.m. each evening at Yeadon Town Hall

For Yeadon Amateur's autumn play we are proud to present 'Flint Street Nativity', directed by Adam Gregory and written by Tim Firth (who wrote 'Calendar Girls').

Mizzis Horrocks' class of seven year olds is about to perform their nativity play at Flint Street Junior School for the proud mums and dads - and the occasional social worker. Squabbles arise when Gabriel wants to play Mary, the Star grumbles he's not a proper star like they have at NASA, Herod won't stop waving to his mum and dad and the subversive Innkeeper is determined to liven up the traditional script. And then the stick insect escapes...

"Exposes what an ungodly snake pit of paediatric power-politics the staging of your average Nativity play can be... There are moments when you may wet yourself laughing." Alfred Hickling, Guardian.

Tickets are £9 and £8 concessions - available from Joan on 0113 250 5587 or Linda on 250 3032.

Please note: Further details for auditions can be obtained by phoning 0113 250 3032
